Project Aashiyana

  • This project aims to construct homes for the people living in tin sheds in Kashmir. As daily temperatures dip to sub-zero extremes in winter, it’s families like these that need immediate attention because the conditions they live under are heart-breaking. Not just in winter, but heavy rainfall during the monsoon too makes it life-threatening to live in such a tin shed.Our NGO is working to help these people by constructing homes for them. These homes will provide them with a safe and secure place to live and will also help to improve their quality of life. The construction of these homes is a challenging project, but it is one that is essential to the well-being of the people of Kashmir. As part of rehabilitation efforts, through Project Ashiyanaa, we were able to fill up a project for a disadvantaged family living in Malmoh under extreme circumstances and without very basic infrastructure. Mohammad Yousuf’s family from Malmoh is the first beneficiary of this project. We could commence the work on April 15, 2023 & Concluded in September 2023.
