About Us We are BETTER HOPE, a non-governmental organization registered in January 2019. We are a team of young students that started this venture in 2016 (unofficially), and got the NGO registered in 2019. At Better Hope NGO, we are committed to provide hope to a better future, life and world to the poor, children, and the needy coming from vulnerable sections of our society. We actively participate in providing financial aid to meritorious students from marginalized sections to help them complete education. We also look forward to creating job avenues and providing opportunities to earn a dignified livelihood.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic we shifted our attention to the much deserving state of Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from Kashmir, we have various representatives, spread at various locations around India who offer their service pro bono for the purpose. Since its inception, Better Hope has been focusing on vivid coverage of Education and Healthcare areas- performing dismally, prominently witnessed during pandemic times. Social investments like education and healthcare need to supersede other areas of concern to move Kashmir to brighter future. The disadvantaged section of society is struggling to provide access to education and health facilities to their families.

Through employment training programs and support services, we strive to assist individuals in obtaining and retaining sustainable and dignified jobs. Aqib Majeed Dar, the visionary Founder and General Secretary of Better Hope NGO, is a passionate advocate for change, dedicated to building a brighter future by offering help to those in need today. By profession, Aqib is a lawyer, but his true calling lies in making a tangible difference in the lives of others.
Since founding Better Hope in 2019, Aqib has led the organization with unwavering commitment and a clear vision. Though relatively young, Better Hope has already made a significant impact, particularly in the Baramula and Budgam districts of Kashmir. Under Aqib's leadership, the NGO has garnered support from both national and international organizations, enabling it to deliver critical aid and services to those facing adversity.
Aqib's approach to leadership is rooted in compassion and respect. He leads by example, ensuring that every team member is valued and empowered. He remains deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of Better Hope, ensuring that all those who seek assistance receive the highest level of care and support.

Aqib’s inspiration comes from his grandfather, Mr Gh Mustafa Dar, who was a true humanitarian and a source of inspiration for Aqib. Since Aqib’s childhood, he witnessed his grandfather going an extra mile to be of service to those who clamoured for his support. He learned from his grandfather that serving those in need is not only personally rewarding, but also a way to make a positive impact on the world around us. Aqib constantly strives to live up to his grandfather’s values and teachings, and aims to create a lasting legacy that will continue to positively impact people’s lives for years to come.
